B'nW Star of Bethlehem

Wow I sure got the bug to create this week---A good kinda bug ~~Hee Hee
I followed the sketch from The Beary Sweet challenge blog:

I made a Gate fold card using my BnW Star of Bethlehem stamp that I won last advent season :)  Thanks so very much Summer and the DT and Lucky Me :))

Altered image from christmas to summer setting :)) Colored with Copics. Added prima glitzy flower where star was and flower soft over the holly leaves on sash and in little girls hair along with complimenting mom's hairbow with it also. Viva Decor Lt blue pearl pen accented Mom's slipper, collar,and sleeve ruffle. Stardust stickles were used on little one's slippers, collar and cuff of sleeve.

Couldn't decide which pic to choose to showed both ;))  I think I need new camera or battery or something LOL

Inside of card~~ MS around the page punch on dp. Accented with SU butterflies~~ homemade flower~~and pearls of viva decor iced white and blue glitter liner!!  Message area made with SB labels 1 and inked with TH faded jeans ink.

Shows glitz again as well as the Viva Decor blue glitter liner I used to enhance wrapped flower stem, flower center, teeny tiny butterfly and the swirls on the DP!!

Easel Card

Used Mina's Sketch from JM for Front of Card!!

Magnolia's Longing Tilda with a rose bud waiting for Dear Edwin to play her a tune on his Magnolia Piano :)  Used copics on watercolor paper. Added TH tea dye ink lightly to edges of image. Papers are Recollections precious metals brown and SU dp. MS punches bordered the polka dot DP.  Embellished with ribbons, prima polka dotted flowers and blingy/music brads

Message Page: 

used MS border punches again with lite blue rhinestones for holders.  The message area was stamped with a music stamp that was inked with Brillance Cosmic Copper and stamped off before stamping paper to give a faded look under the personal written message.  Finished with Magnolia Berry Tilda colored with Copics and enhanced with Beeswax shimmerz for shine~~oooo i like the shimmerz lately :))  Added a Paper Studio music note brad to compliment front of card :D

Close Ups :))

On the rose bud used Red At You Spica pen for bling.  Used Inkssentials white pen to add white polka dots to Tilda's dress and hairbow.  Glitzed her hairband and dress with Silver At you Spica pen.  Once again used Beeswax shimmerz in her golden hair for shine--hard to see in pics.

WnW Guest Designer Card & MMSC57

My SURPRISE this week was being asked to be the featured guest designer for Wags N Whiskers Challenge Blog.  I feel on top of the world and deeply touched~~~~ Thank You Lacey and DT!!!!!

This week's WnW Challenge is DISTRESSING!!!!    So I went off to sort thru my WnW stamps and got right to work :)  Well........ you all know the saying the seven dwarfs have "Whistle while you work"~~~ mine was......... "Smiling as I work" (tee hee hee hee hee hee hee)  Can you tell how EXCITED  I was!!!!
Enough babbling and now for my card~~~~~~~~~
I needed a sketch to follow so I chose~~MMSC57

Meet Say a Prayer~~ Isn't she just the Sweetest!!!

Say a prayer was stamped twice on Cryogen White Iridescent cardstock from Paper Temptress. I detail colored one image with copics. The other was slightly colored and then I softened the background with TH broken china ink. Popped up detailed image over other. Covered her dress sash with diamond glaze. Gave her wings sparkle with diamond glaze and glamour dust!!

Started with DCWV LaCreme Cardstock--added Cream cardstock stamped with SU Baroque motif using TH antique linen and peeled paint distress ink. Next layer was piece of Prima Daydreams dp. As you see all the paper edges have been distressed using TH distressing tool and then swiped with TH antique linen or peeled paint ink pads.

Then I used the SB Labels 1 nesties to create more dimensional layers for my image. Each layer has it's very own distressed look---I lightly added distress ink to all edges--little hard to see.

Embellished with Sizzix branch leaves which were distressed with Tattered Angels Creme de chocolat glimmer mist~~mmmm good!! and TH peeled paint distress ink.  The doily was also misted with the chocolat glimmer mist.  Added some Prima flowers and butterflies.  Used Viva Decor Kiwi Pearl Pen for corner pearls and on butterflies:))\

I just love my new SU Beautiful Wings Embosslit ~~~ I think I would like to be a butterfly in my next life LOL!!!

Here is my Strawberry Girl!!

Colored WOJ strawberry girl~~go HERE to purchase~~with Copics.......added At You Spicas (red, green, gold) to strawberry seeds, Flower centers, leaves and hairband :)  For the first time I used Shimmerz~~Beeswax over hair and silver bells on the oval background behind girl--I LIKE!!!!  Softened image with TH antique linen ink and added flower soft for FUN!!

And Yes My Fave~~ An Easel Card!!

Used WOJ sketch by Donalda and the Papers are BG Eva Collection and MS cardstock (Soft pink). Embellishments are prima flowers, cherry blossom, Rose bud, Pin with heart bead, butterfly bead and spacer.  Leaves were made with SB fleur de lis pendant die  and then dangling is a WOJ strawberry charm ;)) In opposite corners I used SU ticket corner punch and then nestled in a dew drop.  The beautiful border is done with MS modern garland punch around the page punches :D

EMBELLIE CLOSE-UP!!!!!!!!

Inside of card:  Used SB Deckled rectangle with MS soft pink cardstock for message center.  Added little TH ink to edges again ;)  Sentiment made using SU Elements of Style punched out with SU punches and all layered to hold card open nicely!!  At top added yellow dew drop! Used MS floral vine punch for border and then once again blinged up flower centers with opaque dew drop.  The strawberries are nestled on some ultra fine green flower soft grass :))

Finally, this view shows the shimmer of the shimmerz and sparkle of the Spicas!!

My Sugar Nellie Foxy Gorjuss Girl

Once again I used the Making Memories paper pack. Distressed the dp edges with Brilliance Twilight Ink. The strips of dp were fancied up with MS Deco Fan border punch and MM matching ribbon, lace and slides packs.  Accessorized with pearls in corners and Homemade flower and burtterfly on slides.

Image colored with copics. Lightly distressed image edges with TH black soot ink.  Used crystal stickles on hat rim, collar and lace of jacket, and around edges of mega ovals.  Added pearl buttons and rhinestones for hat tassel and flower center :)

Sugar Nellie Gate Fold Card

Sugar Nellie Challenge #9 is to make a Gate Fold Card. I went to PCP's tutorials and found this cute tutorial by Leigh Ann Baird :)  Here is my Gate Fold Pocket Card :)

This Gate Fold Pocket Card is for my daughter Alissa who's birthday is June 24th.  Made flower from Bev's idea on WOJ Tutorials and Inspirations Blog   Then I found the most appropriate saying for the inside :))

Showing the insert to the card!!

Front side of insert has Miss Sitting Gorjuss colored with copics.  Distressed all edges with Brilliance Twilight (Using Pink portion of pallet)  Attached a SU scalloped oval punched from dp~folded~glued in place with added rhinestone to aid in removal and inserting :)) Adhered image to SU Textured Black cut out with SB labels 7 nestie. 

 

This is reverse of insert for writing a personal messages.
