Dreamy Edwin

Hello To All!! We are finally getting some very nice weather here in NE Wisconsin~~Yeah!!  Made a card while doing laundry and re-organizing my craft area today :)
I made a card with folds--not sure if it is a tri-fold or gate fold (LOL--you can call it whatever you like).
Followed sketch at Tickled Pink Stamp Monthly Challenge #1:
Here is Dreamy Edwin :o))))
Papers  used are DCWV At Home Stack

Edwin was colored with copics and cut out and popped up on oval tag.  Added crystal stickles to his wings. Placed pearls and brown rhinestones onto the swirls outlining the image. The swirls were stamped with SU chocolate chip ink.  Doodled between the swirls with my SU brocade blue marker. Distressed edges with distress ink then popped up onto the scalloped oval nestie. Lots of dimension added to this card!!!

Photo of sentiment!! Stamped onto white cardstock--distressed edges with TH distress tool, inked edges with faded jeans distress ink and then softened by lightly daubering the whole sentiment. Matted with brown cardstock--also distressed edges lightly.  Finished with rhinestones and MS tiny butterfly :) Next are photos of inside of card~~ Love how it turned out :D

Used new MS Layered Arches border and corner punch that I got for Mother's Day from my Kids!! Added a scalloped square which was prettied up with swirls, rhinestones and distress ink.  And of course I added more Butterflies.  Aren't they lovely!!  Enjoy these Beautiful butterfly close ups~~

Hope I didn't bore you with all the pics--i just love to show off every little detail--Hee Hee!

LionHugs

Crissy Armstrong has started a new bi-weekly challenge blog recently called "Sundays with Crissy", She has talent beyond my creative thinking and I enjoy her inspirational ways~~Thanks Crissy!!  I purchased this gorgeous "Lion Hugs" digital image by Crissy yesterday from Squigglefly.  Then I decided to enter her challenge.  I used the anniversary sketch at MMSC52
I will show all pics and then explain at the end!! I just love this image Crissy~~thanks hun :))   ENJOY!!!!

Card without tag inserted :D

The dotted Background tutorial can be viewed Here By Crissy Armstrong :)

I colored the image with Copics and tried a new technique on both the lion (flicking with markers) and the lamb (dotting with markers). I have been scoping out Melanie Holtz's Blog~~Paper Blessings and I love her coloring with Copics -- If you have never visited her blog~~IT IS A MUST!!!!  After coloring the image I decided to try my hand at background dotting to soften and pop the image.  Let me know what you think :))  Cut out image with Peony spellbinder and then cut a circle and punched around it with MS traditional eyelet corner punch (green matted piece under image). Bottom matted red piece is a large peony die CB with the Swiss Dot folder and then enhanced the dots with my Sakura Glaze Pen.  I am sorry i am not sure what the dp is b/c I won it on blog candy!! Yeah!!! The removable tag was made with Sizzix tags Die and added freebie sentiment--see below--using SU tag punch.  The paper ribbon was punched with MS traditional eyelet border punch~~matching set with the corner punch I mentioned earlier~~~then ran thru CB with swiss dot folder and took TH vintage photo ink pad and swiped over dry embossing--love the look!!  Sentiment~Love one another~(see below) was also a freebie--I punched out with SU modern labels punch and matted and accessorized with Wild Orchid Rose and BG Rhinestones.  Finished card with more BG Bling, Heidi Grace icons in upper right corner and Making Memories Brad

Bridal Shower Card

SSCC #33 Is  Love or something symbolizing Love
CLP April challenge is this sketch:
My Niece's Bridal Shower is tomorrow so I decided to use segments of her invitation and make a shower card.  Here is Ashley's bridal shower card:

I used their photo from the invitation as the focal image which was matted with SB rectangle scallop nestie and given dimension with foam tape.  The sentiment was cut from the invite with SU Modern labels punch and popped up on a SB Fancy tag.  The papers are Recollections Precious Metals cardstock (have beautiful shimmer to them) and DCWV Love and Wedding Stack.  Tools used to create the layers:  MS Deco fan punch, Fiskars Circles corner punch, SB Scallop circle and rectangle nesties, SB fancy tag and CB embossing folder.  On circle scallop~used WOJ spring swirls stamp with glamour dust sprinkled upon :)  Accented with ribbons, BG rub ons and rhinestones, Wild Orchid Rose glistened with crystal stickles, tulle and Modern Romance floral spray and of course a LOVE charm :))

Inside of card ~~top half :) Used MS, SU and Fiskars punches again along with crystal stickles along top border and around edges of hearts. Added monogram letters --sorry little hard to see:))
Inside bottom half of card:  Once again cut out the designer dress from the invitation~~added tulle (again doesn't show up very well) behind for a glam look and popped up to give dimension!
Few more close ups :D

Am excited for the shower and hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Smiles :o))

Simon Says-- It's So Distressings ~~ April 7
Basic Grey week 17--  Sketch by Martine ~~April 17

Soft and Sweet Little Demure:
I colored this sweet image with Copics and then used Peppermint taffy twinkling H2O on gown, hair bow and shoes.  I also highlited her hair with oyster Twinkling H2O~~love the effect it gave!! Softened the image by rounding the corners; accenting opposite corners with Studio G flower stems stamp and sponging edges and image border with Tim Holtz tattered rose distress ink.  Her pretty bouquet is brought to life with flower soft.  Card base and matting is SU razzelberry paper and the DP is BG Eva Collection.  Used MS heart border punch and then used the hearts as accents on the card :)) Ribbon is from my stash and trim is MM Sabrina.  Sentiment made with SU punches and WOJ stamp.  Flowers were gifts from my daughter--Kim~~thanks Hun!!  Added Stardust Stickles to bling up the hearts and flowers and finished with a few pearls.
Now some close ups:

Close up to show the shimmer of Twinkling H2O's especially on gown and in hair!!

Hope you enjoyed and Easter Blessings to One and All!!
