I used Crissy's digi's Sweet Sarah and Can I Kiss You
I shrunk down the original images quite a bit and then colored with Copics. Gave Sweet Sarah dazzling silver shoes. The pearls on her shoes and dress collar made with Viva Decor Cream pearl pen.
I created a scene card: used the Brick Wall Technique idea which I saw on Donna's Blog-- Butternut Sage Designs!! Donna is sooooo very clever and I love visiting to check out what she is up to next :o) THANKS DONNA!!!!!
The dimension turned out fabulous :)
There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Those who use one of Crissy's images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted.Now... now... I have to tell you that I have NEVER sewn on a card before. So I decided to give the faux sew technique a try :) Used a template for the wall vine and free handed the beaded circle. I was so impressed with myself that I even did a faux border on the inside of card LOL~~I am sure that those of you who do sew and are reading this are probably giggling away by now--someday friends I will machine sew cuz I just love the outcome!!
Wondering can anyone relate to this scene~~shy, bashful and maybe that first kiss?? :)
Finally used my Magnolia doohickey lantern~~~oh how I like!! The antique look came by inking the BG distressed yellow paper with TH walnut stain and then slightly inking edges with Memento tuxedo black. Brick wall: Paper Temptress Grey Ruche paper stamped with woodgrain background. Then stamped green leafy vine and fauxed the swirl before cutting apart and redesigning. The dimension turned out fabulous :)
Inside of card: see my faux (fake) sewing~~hee hee
Viva Decor has some pretty cool silkicon stamps--this one is called "Labeling Fields". Stamped with TH walnut stain in corners using stamp off technique and then stamped around message area with Studio G--green chalk after using MS around the page punches.
Hope you are ready to give this a try :) Are you a machine stitcher, hand stitcher, do you like the new sew easy tool or a faux stitcher like me. We would LOVE to see what you create........ and then link your creation to THIS POST!!
